Environmental Scientist/Compliance Specialist
American
Geosciences is also seeking an Environmental Scientist/Compliance
Specialist. The successful candidate will assist our private sector,
industrial clients meet environmental regulations. Candidate to
demonstrate skills in the following areas: secure permits, conduct
audits, complete plans (e.g., spill prevention), maintain databases,
submit yearly reports, collect samples, train personnel, write
reports, etc.
The candidate must
also demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively orally and in
writing, manage multiple projects, delegate work, implement programs,
interact with regulatory personnel, and demonstrate leadership skills.
The candidate
requires a BS in environmental science, geology, engineering, or other
related field and requires a minimum of 7 years of experience.

Project
Geologist
The successful
candidate will have 7 to 10 years of experience conducting site
investigation and remediation projects. Experience with USTs,
third party reviews, and litigation support is a plus.
The
candidate will be responsible for writing technical work plans and
proposals, developing soil and groundwater sampling plans, supervising
field teams and subcontractors, interpreting analytical data, applying
environmental regulations, interacting with clients, negotiating with
environmental regulatory personnel, writing reports, managing budgets,
and training junior level staff members.
This position
requires a BS in Geology or Environmental Science and knowledge of
environmental regulations, procedures, and methods; P.G. registration
is a plus. Candidate must have the ability to
work independently and as a team member. Candidate must also be able
to handle concurrent projects. Excellent report writing skills are
required along with good communication skills.

Environmental Scientist
We are seeking an Environmental Scientist
with a minimum of 1 year of experience. The successful candidate will
assist our clients (attorneys, lenders, developers, manufacturers,
etc.) with their environmental needs. The candidate will also assist
AGI project managers. Specific duties associated with this position
include: completing Phase I ESAs, assisting with compliance
related activities, and conducting research related to regulations and
technologies. A B.S. degree in environmental science, geology,
engineering, or related field. Excellent communication skills
and ability to work independently required. One to three years
of related experience is preferred.
